Hello

I’m Nadia — the creator behind Grace Unbound.
What started as a long-time dream came to life when God provided everything I needed.
I love taking a simple idea and turning it into something meaningful people truly love.

My Story

I’ve always loved creating.
As a young teenager, I was constantly busy making something — from fabric painting and sewing tablecloths and cushion covers, to experimenting with beading, mosaics, ceramics, and even themed chocolates.

Over time, that passion grew. In my late teens, I discovered working with wood and spent countless hours creating pieces in my father’s garage in South Africa, armed with nothing more than a jigsaw and a love for making something meaningful.

Later, I stepped into the world of photography and digital design, teaching myself how to create photo videos and digital art — long before the days of smartphones and easy-to-use apps.

Then in 2016, I discovered laser cutting and engraving, and something just clicked. Within days, I had taken a leap of faith, secured a loan, and brought my first laser machine into my garage. By then, I was already married with children, but I knew this was something special.

In 2019, we immigrated from South Africa to New Zealand. I sold my small laser and used everything I had saved to invest in a larger machine, trusting that this next step would allow me to build something meaningful.

But starting again in a new country wasn’t easy. Building an audience took time, and when COVID hit, our savings were depleted. I had to take on a full-time job while continuing to grow what had become a side hustle — holding onto the hope that one day it could become more.

During that time, I developed a deep interest in sublimation and vinyl printing. Someone close to me had built a full setup — everything I had dreamed of having. I found myself longing for that opportunity, even praying about it, knowing I didn’t have the finances to make it happen.

One morning, I came before God in complete honesty. I admitted my feelings, even confessing jealousy, and I repented. I chose to surrender it all and trust that if it was meant for me, He would make a way.

The very next night, everything changed.

I received a call asking me to come over — and that night I was given everything. Every machine, every piece of equipment, every resource I had been praying for — freely.

Grace Unbound was born in that moment.

Not out of my own strength, but through God’s grace and provision.

Today, I am still working full-time while building Grace Unbound on the side, trusting God to lead me into the next season — where I can step fully into this calling.
